From the bus stop on the South Downs way we walk across the downland towards Butts Brow with stunning views of Eastbourne. We then drop down through farmland to Jevington (home of the banoffee pie). Then to Alfriston passing the Long Man of Wilmington and the tiny Lullington Church. After lunch we walk along the banks of the River Cuckmere hopefully seeing various wild fowl. The first part of the walk is more challenging with a steep climb out of Jevington. Wet weather could mean a route amendment with more hills.
