Downland Birds and Butterflies (Moderate)

Explore the beauty of the Downs and discover late summer butterflies and Downland birds on this 4 mile walk. Beginning in East Dean, this walk will take you through highlights such as Cornish Farm and Birling Gap.

Please note there is one steep incline and approximately three stiles to navigate. The majority of the walk is along footpaths except at the beginning where route is along a small section of road.

Walk Leader: David Beer

Meet at East Dean Village Car Park at 10am (BN20 0DR). Walk will take approximately 2.5 hours.

Public transport: 12/12A Eastbourne- Brighton bus service stops at East Dean and it is a short walk to the Village Hall.

There is a café at the start/end of the walk or en route at Birling Gap where toilet facilities can also be found.

Please note that this route is not wheelchair friendly.

No dogs allowed.
